AI Highlights
  • - The manager won't communicate.
  • - Delivery order was put back on shelves with no explanation; calls and chat were unreachable.

Manager wont communicate and put my already shopped for delivery order back on the shelves. No explanation and wont answer his phone.

I let it ring 10 mins. Not even a machine picked up. Used live chat and was disconnected after 6 mins. Called Instacart and was disconnected after 6 mins for call volume.

Never got to reach anyone in corporate either.

I missed a previous engagement this morning because of Frys. This is unacceptable.

User's recommendation: Don’t bother trying to call a manger at the Sierra Vista Frys.

Security evening shift

AI Highlights
  • - Customer alleges security harassed, racially profiled, and followed their daughter; they were told not to enter and plan to seek legal counsel.

Went to Frys 1815 W Glendale with my pregnant 20-year-old daughter. She had to use the restroom, so she went into the store ahead of me.

I had just got a cart ready to go in when she was coming out, followed by the store security yelling at her that she was not allowed in the store. I asked what was going on; then she changed it to she received a call on her walkie-talkie to not let us in the store, the two of us. I knew this was a lie but was not confrontational with her. I said I had been in the store earlier with no incident or problem.

I knew no one could have called her and told her, 'Don't let those two in,' when we had gone in separately. She did let us in when questioned which member of management had banned us from the store. I let the incident slide for the time but was curious about how we would be treated by this security guard in the future. I shop there regularly and had no problem, but my daughter, on the other hand, had followed her through the store, keeping her in eye contact, making her feel very uncomfortable.

I didn't know what to think, so her uncle suggested that we have three different people go in after my daughter on different occasions, and each time found this same woman from the store security was indeed following her and was once overheard telling her, 'Don't you dare steal anything.' I was beyond messed off at this obvious harassment but didn't see her working security the next few days and thought she must have been fired for pulling that same crap with other customers until Monday, October 27th. I was walking home with my daughter from her uncle's and decided to get a bottle of soda. We had not even gotten 15 feet into the store when this nut of a security guard came running up to us screaming, 'You know you aren't allowed in here!' We asked why, and she responded, 'You know why!' When we asked to see the manager, she hostilely responded, 'Get out or I'll 911 your *** Instead of causing a scene like she intended on doing, we left. I knew this guard was racially profiling us or just outright harassing us.

I decided to send this review to see what the store manager intends to do or how they respond to this before seeking legal consultation. I await your response.

Preferred solution: Termination of this security guard for harassment racial profiling making false accusation

User's recommendation: Don't put up with this woman's harassment have had no problem with any other security in the store just this one

I am ashamed to say this, but my daughter was caught shoplifting at this door about 2 months ago before this incident, but they only suspected because her skin tone if she were white. She would have gone away with it.

What I said is, I hate white children and babies. I never tried to harm them, but I did say I hope that white babies pass away from sids and white children get cancer and pass away

Sigh. Here we go again.

You need meds and are messed up. You have so much hate for white people that you want to hurt innocent white children and babies who can't defend themselves.

Original review Sep 16, 2025
I arrived at frys shortly before closing, intending to purchase my medication and a simple container of yogurt a basic necessity for my health, given its probiotic benefits. Instead, I was denied entry by an employee named Christian.

Whats more, I was met with aggression, hostility, and then this employee PHYSICALLY assaulted me, which I consider totally unacceptable.
As a customer with a disability, I expect a certain level of respect and service, especially when seeking essential items like medication.

The actions of your employee not only fell short of these expectations but also put my well-being at risk. This incident occurred at the Frys Food and Drug 5116 W Olive Ave Glendale AZ 85302 location.

Preferred solution: Disciplinary action for employee

Store experience

AI Highlights
  • - Fry's Oracle/First Ave, Oro Valley, AZ.
  • - We were happy with prices and staff, but now not.
  • - A recent return: counter closed; assistant manager rude.

This is regarding the Fry's store at Oracle Rd. and First Avenue in Oro Valley, Arizona.

We have been shopping at this store since its opening. We have been satisfied over the years, overall, with the prices and friendliness of the employees. That is no longer true. Over the last several months, things have noticeably changed.

A week ago, we had something to return and the customer service counter was closed. An assistant manager finally saw us and slowly walked over. In a not very nice tone, he asked, 'What do you need?' He took care of the transaction, and I did give him a piece of my mind about his attitude. Honestly, the only thing that keeps us shopping at this store are Leslie, Karl, and the meat department crew, Deb, who worked liquor and fills shopping orders, and, above all, Barbara, who cashiers and does paperwork.

If Barbara isn't cashiering, my husband will wait for me in the parking lot because most of the other cashiers act like they don't want to be there. We don't know what's going on with the management of this store, but things have definitely gone downhill.

Walked slowly? The counter was closed.

Your lucky he walked over at all. You and your husband are past your expiration date.

You don’t matter nor do your so-called grievances. Move on to your next “issue” like your local newspaper going digital or the early bird menu changing.

Oh gee, I guess it is asking too much to be able to return an item at the CUSTOMER SERVICE counter. What was I thinking. And the hateful expiration date comment was really uncalled for.

Mykayla Jwq

Maybe he has a physical disability that made him walk slowly. I hope one day that happens to you and some impatient person like yourself mocks you for it.

Guest

Found out he was transferred to another store because of his attitude problems. Wishing bad things for other people is really hateful.

Go find somewhere else to shop. Why would you stay if you have visions of what you want.

Go where it exists. They won’t miss you.

Missing items in online order

Do not use Fry’s pick up service.

Original review Jun 01, 2025
I enjoy the convenience of Fry's pick-up service. Unfortunately, twice in May, half of my orders were missing when I arrived home.

When I called the store, my only options were to receive a refund for the missing items or return to the store to pick up the rest of my order. Obviously, I needed the items, or I wouldn't have ordered them... but why not send a driver over with the rest of my groceries? Why does their inefficiency inconvenience me?

The first time I went back and picked up my items because I needed them immediately. The second time, I received a refund for everything but a bottle of champagne. They do not offer refunds on alcohol, but if I wanted to return to the store, it would be up to the manager to approve the return. Really?

Should I have to pay for an item that was not received? And again, I needed to return to the store for my money and manager approval? Ridiculous. I sent an email on the Kroger corporate website and never even received a response.

Nothing! I spend quite a bit of money at this store on a weekly basis.

Their lack of compassion is maddening. I'm done with Fry's.

When you advertise beer for sale and two weeks in a row you are out of it for holidays, and this has happened more than once.

AI Highlights
  • - Amberbock is advertised but never in stock at Fry's in Sierra Vista.
  • - Staff can't say when it will arrive and alternatives are rarely in stock.

Ive ran into this numerous times with Frys in Sierra Vista. You advertise Amberbock for sale but its never available.

When you ask when it might come in, you are told they dont know. Also when you choose an alternative its never in stock except Mexican beer. What is your problem, poor management or just dont care about your customers?

Do the people not think ahead and have plenty in stock for holidays? Ive found that in several numberous times with other things.
